Responsibilities

• scheduling appointments

• packaging and mailing earmold orders, device repairs, and returns

• maintaining supply inventories

• cleanings and checks on hearing aids and accessory devices

• troubleshooting and minor repairs to hearing aids

• setup and troubleshooting hearing aid Bluetooth connectivity

• instructing patients on proper use and care of hearing aids and accessory devices

• assisting audiologists with setup and technical tasks

• maintaining and restocking test and treatment rooms

• performing infection control duties within the clinic/service

• interacting with hearing instrument manufacturers/suppliers regarding status of orders/repairs

Requirements to obtain Audiology Assistant License in Maryland

• To qualify for an audiology assistant license, an applicant must:

• Be of good moral character;

• Hold a high school diploma or equivalent degree;

• Demonstrate oral competency;

• Submit to a criminal history records check
